Travel

We're excited to celebrate with you all in Chicago! Here's a short guide on traveling here, where to stay, and getting around the city. We'll post a more detailed guide to some of our favorite spots and recommendations later, but we hope this helps for now.

The Reception

The reception will be held at the Chicago Athletic Association, a historic landmark on Michigan Avenue in the Loop, right across from Millennium Park.

Prefer to find your own place? There are plenty of great hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs nearby. Staying in or near the Loop, River North, West Loop, or Streeterville will keep you close to the reception and easy to get around.

Getting Here

Chicago has two airports, and both connect directly to downtown by train.

O'Hare International (ORD)

The larger airport, with the most flights. Take the CTA Blue Line straight into the Loop (about 45 minutes), or grab an Uber or taxi (30 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic).

Midway International (MDW)

Smaller and closer to downtown. Take the CTA Orange Line into the Loop (about 25 minutes), or an Uber or taxi (about 25 minutes).

Getting Around

You won't need a car! Chicago's public transportation is easy to use. The CTA trains (the "L") and buses run all over the city, and you can pay by tapping your credit card or phone at the gate, or with the Ventra app.

Uber and Lyft are also everywhere and quick to find. If you do drive, downtown parking can be pricey, so check whether your hotel offers it.
